Our Experienced Staff
Center Program Manager
Shirley is a member of the administration team. She is EEC certified to teach infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Roger William University. Shirley previously worked as an IT professional for over twenty years but left to pursue her dreams of working with school children. She taught a Cantonese language class at Newton Cantonese School part-time while working as an IT professional before joining WoodsEdge. Currently, she is working hard to include exposure to foreign languages into the preschool program because she has seen the benefits it has brought her multi-lingual children. Research shows that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical-thinking, and listening skills. In her free time, she loves baking (cake especially!), hiking and spending time with her family.
Natasha is very excited to be joining Woodsedge Children's Center as the Director. She has over ten years of experience in the childcare industry. She has worked in various centers, from very small privately owned through larger corporate owned centers and the in between. Throughout her time in childcare, she has worked in many positions from assistant teacher through Administration and finding a home as a director. As a director of a childcare center for over five years, her main objective is to provide high quality care for the children in our care, build partnerships with the families to best provide support for not only their children, but also the family as a whole, and to provide support and knowledge to the staff. Working with children is rewarding in itself as you get to be apart of their discovery of the world and being able to provide support to staff and families makes this field that much more rewarding. Natasha looks forward to meeting all of the wonderful children, families, and staff of Woods Edge Children’s Center and please know that her door will always be open to everyone; you will always be welcome a chance to discuss any questions, concerns, or requests. Please feel free to contact Natasha at anytime.
