Toddler Curriculum
The goal of our toddler program is to foster cooperative, positive, appropriate social interactions between children. Children’s self-confidence is supported and nurtured as they begin to approach their preschool years.
With preschool fast approaching, schedules are a bit more structured with times for indoor and outdoor play, circle time, creative art activities, snacks, lunch, and nap time.
Developing Independence & Social-Emotional Skills
In our toddler classrooms, children are encouraged to express their independence by washing their own hands, feeding themselves, using utensils, and choosing their own activities during center time. Caregivers focus on the introduction of a group schedule and enhance positive social interaction with peers.
Encouraging Curiosity & Creativity
Our toddler curriculum enhances and promotes creativity, sensory exploration, fine motor development, and hand-eye coordination. Toddlers are encouraged to explore new and exciting concepts through sensory activities, creative arts, games, and small group activities.
Participating in Hands-On STEM Experiences
This month, one of the activities in our toddler classroom was set up to further develop the children's math, fine motor (Pincer grip), and sensory skills by taking part in the color cube matching activity. The children were able to build their fine motor skills by peeling and grasping stickers, but also math skills through identifying, matching, and counting colors.
Connecting with Families Beyond the Classroom
“Summer Picnics with Parents” give children the chance to enjoy outdoor time together with their parents.
