About Our Children's Center
At WoodsEdge Children’s Center, we are committed to providing an enriching and joyful educational environment built on relationships to nurture children's growth and develop their potential through play, discovery, and exploration of nature.
We believe that teachers are not the sole dispensers of knowledge but rather they help cultivate children's curiosity and facilitate their learning based on individual interest and learning style.
WoodsEdge Children’s Center has been serving families around Sudbury for more than 28 years. Our sprawling 5.8 acre campus features three large outdoor play areas complete with a full bicycle track, hands-on garden, and even some friendly farm animals.
Massachusetts Department of Education
Longtime Sudbury resident and WoodsEdge Children’s Center Director Shirley Wong believes young children learn best through hands-on experiences and play and that creativity, imagination, and exploration are critically important in their development. Shirley finds tremendous joy watching young children explore, investigate, learn, and grow.
