  • What steps are being taken during COVID-19 to ensure the safety of students and teachers?
We're taking all the steps necessary to follow Massachusetts's Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)'s and Center for Disease Control (CDC)'s guidelines to reopening to ensure a safe environement for our children to grow, learn, and play together. Some steps we've taken include: - increased focus on hand-washing and hand sanitizer when hand-washing is unavailable - encouraging the use of masks and social distancing - disinfecting highly-trafficked surfaces every two hours - sanitizing bathrooms after every use We've also suspended the distribution of morning and afternoon snacks at this time. All food must be brought from home and kept in a lunch box/bag labeled with the child's name on it. To learn more, please read our reopening guide.
  • How much time will my child spend playing/learning outside?
At WoodsEdge, we encourage classrooms to spend at least 1 hour outside in the morning and 1 hour outside in the afternoons. We have 3 playgrounds, a riding track, and community garden to encourage outdoor exploration.
